Our Mission
Sawyer’s Race for Research exists because lives depend on it. We are a community of families, friends, and believers united by one purpose: funding Trifunctional Protein Deficiency (TFP) research and refusing to stop until a cure is found.
TFP is rare, devastating, and underfunded, but it is not unstoppable. Since our founding, we’ve raised over half a million dollars through grassroots efforts. This has funded cutting-edge research projects that are bringing scientists closer to better treatments and, one day, a cure. Every dollar raised, every mile run, every event attended moves the needle for the children and families living with TFP every single day.
We are powered by the generosity of donors, the energy of volunteers, and the spirit of a little boy named Sawyer who inspires everything we do. His strength is our engine. His future — and the future of every person affected by TFP — is our finish line.
